About Us…
Hi!
We are Tawnya and Don Lundquist . We have the privilege of being the new owners of Whistlestop, located in Mendocino California.
We met in Fort Bragg in 1999 and were married in 2003. In 2006 we welcomed a daughter.
Before Don moved to Fort Bragg, he worked for his father’s trucking business, where he had a regular route up the north coast. A few years later he moved to Fort Bragg and continued working as a truck driver.
Tawnya moved to Fort Bragg in 1984 with her mother and two brothers and attended Fort Bragg High School. Soon after graduation, she started working for Walsh Oil.
While working in Fort Bragg Don and Tawnya met lifelong friends, local business owners, and long-time community members.
In June of 2022, we learned Whistlestop was for sale. The store owners were looking to retire. The timing seemed perfect. We were ready to start a new chapter in our lives as business owners and this seemed to be a perfect fit.
We look forward to working with our community of local artists and merchants while building a successful business.
